As of December 17, 2021 and ongoing until March 31, 2024, we will have a reduced capacity to accept transfers of government archival records. If your institution is able to store and effectively manage your archival material during this period, please do so. If not, please submit requests for transfers through this site. We will approve potential transfers on a case-by-case basis.

Please be advised that once LAC approves the transfer, you must undertake the following two steps:


1) Courier the material to LAC
2) Email the tracking number from the courier company to LAC

The shipping location and email address will be provided upon approval of your request.

Please specify in the finding aid which containers or files contain portable storage media.

Please fill out the Digital Transfer Assessment Form and attach it to this request.

List of records proposed for transfer


No transfer will be considered without a detailed list (Finding Aid).
Please specify in the finding aid which containers or files have been reviewed and opened by ATIP.
